Hollywood auditions are in session

For generations, Los Angeles has been the capital of film and television productions.
While the entertainment industry has expanded globally in recent years,
the audition room remains distinctly Hollywood.
LA Casting Atelier bridges that cultural gap through experiential workshops and one-on-one consultations with a casting professional with over 15 years of industry experience.

Behind the scenes of LA Casting Atelier

Vanessa Toll is a casting professional from Los Angeles with 15 years of experience casting everything from major studio films to award-winning television series to indie passion projects. A proud third-generation Angeleno, she started her career before most of her peers were halfway through college, and is now a member of both the Teamsters Union and the Casting Society of America. She has worked under casting greats like Kim Coleman and Aisha Coley, and has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers including Ava DuVernay, Spike Lee, and Gina Prince-Bythewood. As a former child-actor herself, Vanessa understands what performers need from both sides of the camera, and she takes pride in being approachable and relatable, rather than falling into the intimidating casting professional stereotype.

As Hollywood increasingly moves abroad, Vanessa opened LA Casting Atelier in Paris to bridge French and international talent with opportunities in the American film and television market. The atelier serves actors, agents, casting directors, producers, and anyone seeking deeper understanding of the casting process for American productions. With her extensive industry contacts and expertise in inclusive casting, Vanessa brings valuable insight to both French productions and international projects filming across Europe.
